Registration Documents

To register with Red Berry Recruitment Ltd, Consultants must carry out certain checks to confirm your identity and to ensure you are eligible to work. Therefore you must provide:

  • One of the original documents included in List 1; OR
  • Two of the original documents in the combinations given in List 2.
  • It will also speed up the registration process if you bring with you on the day of registration, an up-to-date C.V. If you are considering temporary work, details of 2 Referees (written references or contact names / telephone details), your National Insurance number and bank details.

LIST 1

  • Valid passport showing the holder is a British Citizen, or has a right of abode in the UK.
  • Passport or National Identity Card showing the holder is a national of a European Economic Area Country (EEA) or Switzerland
  • Residence permit issued by the Home Office to a national from an EEA country or Switzerland.
  • Passport or other document issued by the Home Office which has an endorsement stating the holder has a current right of residence in the UK as the family member of a national from an EEA Country or Switzerland who is resident in the UK.
  • Passport or other travel document endorsed to show an indefinite stay in the UK, or no time limit on their stay.
  • Passport or other travel document endorsed allowing the holder to undertake the work offered if they do not have a work permit.
  • Application Registration Card issued by the Home Office to an asylum seeker stating that the holder is permitted to take employment.

LIST 2

First Combination

  1. A document giving your permanent National Insurance number and name. This could be a: P45, P60, National Insurance card or a letter from Government agency.

You must also provide one of the documents listed in sections B - H:

  1. Full UK birth certificate, which includes the names of the holder’s parents; OR
  2. Birth certificate issued in the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man or Ireland; OR
  3. Certificate of registration or naturalisation stating that the holder is a British citizen; OR
  4. Letter issued by the Home Office to the holder, which indicates you can stay indefinitely in the UK, or with no time limit on your stay; OR
  5. Immigration Status Document issued by the Home Office, which has an endorsement indicating your entitlement to stay indefinitely in the UK, or has no time limit on your stay; OR
  6. Letter issued by the Home Office to the holder indicating that the person named can stay in the UK and undertake the type of work being offered; OR
  7. Immigration Status Document issued by the Home Office with an endorsement indicating that the person can stay in the UK and undertake the type of work being offered.

Second Combination

  1. A work permit or other approval to take employment that has been issued by Work Permits UK.

You must also provide one of the following documents listed in sections B - C:

  1. Passport or other travel document endorsed to show that you can stay in the UK and can take the work permit employment in question; OR
  2. Letter issued by the Home Office to the holder confirming you can stay in the UK and can take the work permit employment in question.
