Do you have previous Buying experience? Are you compliant with BRC? Have you worked within an FMCG business? Do you have experience with compliance ISO14001? Do you have SAP experience? Are you an advanced Excel user? If so, this could be the perfect role for you….

I am looking for an experienced Buyer, ideally within the FMCG market on a full time and permanent basis.

Your day to day duties will include:

·         Supplier negotiation

·         Challenge internally and externally to drive continuous improvement

·         Deliver agreed cost reduction objectives, through value engineering and negotiation

·         Continual bench marking against suppliers to ensure competitive costs

·         Continual monitoring of supplier performance, action planning and follow up

·         Build strong relationships with suppliers through regular phone calls, emails, visits (as appropriate)

·         Assist with contracts and the attainment of favorable terms and conditions

·         Assist in improving business understanding and communication of COGS

·         Source new raw materials and establish new suppliers as the business requires – NPD support

·         Build strong relationships with all internal clients

·         Assist the Purchasing Manager with the development of the raw material strategy

·         Assist the Purchasing Manager with the development of the supply chain

·         Involvement in supply optimization projects (eg: tenders, supplier switch]

·         Responsible for maintaining up-to-date information on the supplier database to include pricing, supplier                    details, contacts, renewal dates etc using SAP or Excel

·         Track, understand and predict commodity price movements to feed in to budget and purchasing strategies

·         Generate Purchase Orders when required

·         Assist and manage aspects of ongoing Purchasing projects

·         Support & cover the whole team

 I am looking for you to possess the following:

  • SAP experience
  • Ideally have worked within the FMCG market
  • Intermediate/ advanced Excel skills
