Do you have supervisory experience working within a manufacturing environment? Have you worked for a small business? Are you a hands on worker? Do you have an understanding of health and safety in the working environment? If so, this could be the perfect next role for you….

I am looking for a hands on, hard working and dedicated manufacturing supervisor to work with a very friendly, small organisation. Ideally you would have come from a manufacturing environment most recently.

You day to day duties will include:

• Manage and be accountable for designated manufacturing areas
• Support the Team Leader in the role of planning.
• Meet customer demand and quality targets
• Liaise with other departments to ensure delivery of completed works orders ready for despatch in the correct quantities and quality at the correct time
• Motivate, develop, lead and manage the team
• Constantly manage best use of resources
• Conduct and participate in regular team meetings
• Ensure the on time delivery of finished parts to Despatch
• Ensure Quality and Process Conformance
• Actively carry out investigation with regards to Incident reports and report back to both Quality and Production Manager
• Ensure Health and Safety compliance
• Set and maintain consistent 5S (Sort,Set,Shine,Standardise,Stick) and housekeeping standards in the manufacturing area
• Initiate and manage Continuous Improvement activities in association with the Production Manager
• Carry out performance and quality reviews with the manufacturing team
• Maintain training matrixes for manufacturing staff
• Carry out return to work interviews
• Work within budgetary constraints
• Actively participate in team or project based activities where required
• Communicate effectively with other departments to manage changes within the product range
