Are you an experienced Bookkeeper?

Do you have a good knowledge of Sage?

Are you an excellent communicator?


I am looking for a Bookkeeper to join a reputable company based in Street on a full-time, permanent basis. You will be responsible for Key Accounting duties, Sales & Purchase Ledger Entries, Bank Reconciliations and support for Month End Accounts.

Main duties include:

  • Enter Supplier invoices and process Supplier payments
  • Enter Customer receipts and allocate to Customer invoices
  • Update general bank payments
  • Daily Bank Account Reconciliation
  • Responsible for General Debtors and Creditors administration including creating new accounts
  • Routinely process Customer Statements and Credit Control
  • Process Credit Card Receipts and allocate payments
  • Process Employee Expenses Claims
  • Agents Commission Analysis
  • Transport Planning – update, track & monitor costs including demurrage claims for high volume customers
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly accounts and providing analysis as directed by the Management Accountant.
  • Support/Act for cover for the Sales Administrator as and when required


The successful candidate will be AAT qualified or qualified by experience. You will have a good knowledge of Sage and MS Office. You will be a team player and have excellent communication skills. Experience of VAT Returns highly desirable.

This is a full-time, permanent position working 9am-5pm Monday-Friday.

Salary £18,000-£22,000 depending on experience.
