Customer Service Assistant

Sherborne

£9.00 per hour

37.5 hours per week

Temp – Perm Role

 

Summary of Position:

You will be responsible for the processing of all orders received to ensure that the customers receive a fast, friendly and effective service that they expect from us. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Accurately process customers’ orders onto spreadsheets, ensuring all details are recorded.
  • Transfer orders onto the relevant supplier’s spreadsheet/website so the manufacturers can begin processing the orders.
  • Should there be a delay with a order, liaise with the customer.
  • Where they are available, find and send the tracking details of orders so customers are aware of their delivery dates.
  • Liaise with the courier daily to ensure that our stock is dispatched promptly.
  • Liaise with the Buying Team for all stock issues, for example, reordering requests giving as much notice as possible when stock is low on any item.
  • Answer the phone to customers that ring through to query delivery dates.
  • Periodically review supplier spreadsheets to ensure that customers have been contacted and there are no stock issues.
  • Arrange delivery of orders directly with the customers placing them with on the delivery system where necessary or contact the customers and transfer calls to the supplier.
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by Manager to assist in the smooth running of the Team.
