I am currently looking for a Product Manager to join a highly dynamic and forward-thinking organisation on a permanent and full-time basis. This is a very exciting time to join the business as they are going through a period of growth!

This role is a key part of the business and you will be responsible for introducing, developing and managing all product developments and initiatives within the business. You will have the ability to plan and drive all new and existing product development milestones through effective liaison with internal teams and external stakeholders. You will also be responsible for quality market research, understanding customer requirements and competitor analysis data.

Your day to day duties will include:

  • To plan, implement and deliver to market new products on time and within cost controls
  • Plan and develop new product launches including marketing specifications and internal departments product training requirements
  • To use market research data to effectively establish product pricing plus continuous review of production and sales costs, forecasting and pricing of special and customized items
  • To identify the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing specification and requirements, appraising and adjusting as needed and preparing ROI analyses
  • To establish time schedules with design, manufacturing and component partners
  • To determine customer needs, product trends and product positioning via high quality research and analysis
  • To conduct quality external competitor analysis to accurately assess competition
  • To work with Group Sales Director and Data Analyst to develop effective product sales strategies
  • To work closely with Marketing; product marketing and brochure updates
  • To line manage two Product Assistants, allocating workloads and ensuring project timelines are met
  • To report monthly to the Senior Management Team
  • To ensure timely competition and storage of project documentation

Experience and skills

  • Educated to degree level
  • 5 years solid experience in Product/Project Management within the manufacturing industry
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes (assembly, injection, SMC, GRP, RTM) advantageous
