Stock and Accounts Administrator

£19,000 – £22,000 DOE

Permanent Role

Based in Yeovil

 

The role is Monday to Thursday 8.45am – 5pm and 9am – 3.30pm on a Friday

There is parking onsite and you will start on 20 days per year holiday plus bank holidays, going up to 25 after 3 years’ service.

Pension is 5% you and 5% employer with the bonus of a Health Cash plan.

 

Role overview

As a Stock and accounts administrator you will be responsible for managing the company’s stock. A primary requirement of the position is to maintain stock and supplier records. Reporting to and assisting the Financial Controller with general accounting duties using SAGE accounting.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and Manage a stock on the system
  • Co-ordinate and monitor stock liaising closely with the workshop to ensure stock items are received and correct.
  • Maintain price records within SAGE/CRM systems.
  • Monitor progress of orders and record delays/problems
  • Management of record stock levels within SAGE/CRM
  • Prepare monthly stock reports for Management meetings
  • Co-ordinate stock take with the workshop, processing any adjustments to ensure the accuracy of stock
  • Update product list with new products
  • Proactively communicate with internal sales team regarding status of stock items
  • Set up new suppliers’ invoices on SAGE
  • Match supplier invoices against delivery notes
  • Approve invoices for payment
  • Credit check new customers
  • Raise invoices
  • Send monthly statements
  • Creditor control – chase overdue accounts
  • Attend weekly meetings

Experience

  • Good knowledge of SAGE
  • Strong IT skills
  • Stock control experience
  • Excellent communicator

  • Have good organisation skills
