Red Berry Land Update

Red Berry Land Update

Dear Readers,

Its seems ages, well it has been to be honest, that I have actually written a BLOG! Though I hope you have been reading the news articles that have been in the Western Gazette each week as we have been blogging and twittering these and also about the Awards that we keep winning. As you can imagine I have been on cloud 9 for weeks now as it is amazing to be recognised for your hard work.

Anyway, I just thought I would take 5 minutes to write a little extra about what has been going on in the land of Red Berry Recruitment!!

Well, the last couple of weeks have really seen an increase in companies needing agencies again. Last year was quieter than we had planned but it is nice to see the temp numbers increase and the perm revenue on the up.

I just thought I would update you with the staff at Red Berry as lots of good things have been happening. Luisa, our Finance Manager is currently on maternity leave, she and her husband have a beautiful baby boy called Alex, so we have Mel Stringer covering and settling in well. Jessica Harmer has accepted a permanent job starting on July 1st as the Commercial Consultant; Jessie was temping on the admin side then covered the Commercial Desk, so we are delighted to be able to offer her a permanent role. Matt is now a Red Berryite too, having been made my PA after what was a 2 week temp job, when he started in February!! Matt has fitted into the Yeovil team really well and finally Natalie, the Industrial Consultant in Yeovil has worked hours and hours looking after one of the largest contracts we have, with more often than not 5.15am calls from the clients needing more staff!! Well done Team!!

Emma, in the Shepton Mallet office spends hours deciphering my writing so we can enter the awards, keeping our face book presence up to date and generally designing amazing posters and artwork for us to use for marketing; as well as keeping the Shepton office in check!! Rachael, the Sales and Office Manager and Sarah, the Senior Consultant have won new contracts and are maintaining the high level of service that the office is known for. Craig in accounts, has just come back from holiday, feeling refreshed and ready to go with a back log of invoices to send, he will be a busy lad! And well, me….IOD Awards, Bath and West and now we are waiting to hear if we have won any of the 4 categories that we are shortlisted for at the Western Gazette Business Award! Wish us Luck! (Result June 27th) so just a little bit busy

Anyway, its holiday season now, so I must get back to work and do some recruitment. Thanks for reading and I’ll write again soon

On the 20th Alistair Powell from Sandler training and myself are putting on a FREE networking event at the innovation centre- “How to increase your business” and just recently I talked at Bruton School for girls on CV writing and interview tips
