Red Berry Recruitment Registration Process

In order to get work through Red Berry Recruitment, first you need to register with us.

In this month’s Staff Spotlight, our Recruitment Administrator Henrietta talks you through the registration process.

How Do You Organise It?

It’s really very simple! Registrations at Red Berry work one of two ways; they are either pre-arranged or spontaneous. A pre-arranged registration will usually take place when a candidate has phoned the office to register. This might be because they have seen a job on our website, or if they are just generally looking for work. Similarly, if a consultant has found a candidate’s CV online and would like to put them forward for a role, it’s important that they come in and register so we have all their details.

Red Berry operates an open-door policy, so we are always open for spontaneous registrations. This means that candidates are able to pop into our office whilst they’re on the way to get a Monday morning coffee! We always have a range of jobs advertised outside of our office, either in our window or on our job board, making it easy for people to know exactly what we’re looking for.

The great thing about working in reception is you never know who you’re going to meet each day!

The Registration Process

When anybody comes into the office to register, the procedure is fairly straight forward.

I always offer them a drink and a seat and start with a friendly chat to just try and get an idea of what exactly it is that they are looking for.

Examples of questions might be: Are you working at the moment? What are you looking for? What have you done before? How soon are you available? Do you have your own transport? These questions give me a good idea of the paperwork that I will need off of this person.

At Red Berry our registration packs are split into two categories, Commercial (Admin, Sales, Customer Service etc.) and Industrial (Warehouse, Engineering, Cleaning etc.), which is why it’s important to get the right one!

Registration packs give us all of the information that we need to know about a candidate, in order to find them the right role. It gives us all of their contact details, work history, references, salary requirements – the list goes on!

What Do You Need To Bring?

Along with the registration pack, all candidates must also provide us with a CV and 3 forms of ID. This needs to be proof of address, proof of national insurance and proof of date of birth, without these we are unable to pass details onto any of our clients!

What Happens Next?

Once we have received all of this information, you will be in the hands of one of our recruitment consultants who will keep in contact with you about various job opportunities. If any of them are of interest they will send off your CV and do our best to help you find your dream job!

How Long Does It Take?

It generally takes between 30 minutes and an hour to complete, so make sure you give yourself enough time. If you aren’t able to spare that much time, you’re more than welcome to take the pack away with you.

So overall, registering with an agency is nothing to be worried about and we are always happy to meet new people! At the end of the day, it’s our job to help you find your job!
