Red Berry Recruitment supporting a cracking cause

Red Berry Recruitment are collecting Easter Eggs to support a fantastic charity that works with families who have children with life threatening or terminal illnesses.

Rainbow Trust supports families who have a child aged 0-18 years with a life threatening or terminal illness and are in need of bespoke help and support. The charity offers services such as help getting to hospital appointments, sibling days out, support with understanding illnesses and treatment, respite, and even cooking meals and reading stories.

Today there are an estimated 49,000 children and young people in the UK living with a life limiting or life threatening condition who may require palliative care. The charity can provide support to the whole family including parents, carers, the unwell child, siblings and grandparents. Any family can receive support from the moment a child or young person is diagnosed.

Helen Lacey, Red Berry Recruitment’s Managing Director met representatives from Rainbow Trust at the FSB Small Business Awards Ceremony in February where Rainbow Trust was the designated charity. After watching a video about the charity and the work they do, Helen really wanted to be able to help such a worthwhile cause.

Helen said, “Here at Red Berry Recruitment we are passionate about supporting charity, and have raised over £20,000 since the business was founded in 2007. After talking to Charlotte from Rainbow Trust and watching their incredibly moving video at the FSB awards, I wanted to be able to support this fantastic charity and help in any way I could. Collecting for their Easter Egg hunt is just a small way to help them bring fun and enjoyment to children who are in very difficult circumstances.”

Red Berry Recruitment are supporting Rainbow Trust’s Sibling Support Day on Thursday 17th April. As part of the day the children will get to do an Easter Egg hunt and Red Berry need your help to supply the charity with as many chocolate eggs as possible for the Easter Bunny to hide.

Donations can be dropped in to the Red Berry Recruitment offices in Shepton Mallet, Yeovil and Bridgwater until Wednesday 10th April. The charity are also in need of activity packs for children who are in hospital and would benefit from having colouring or puzzles to do whilst they are having treatment.
