Slip-ups can help your business

After numerous calls and emails I finally secured my meeting with a large company in Glastonbury.

Sarah, my Industrial Consultant and I turned up with goodies in hand, note pads, mugs etc. After signing in we were escorted by the client down some steps, the next thing I know I have fallen down 4 very large, old cold stone steps and have landed at the feet of said client! Very embarrassingly I pick myself up (Mug and cookies in goody bag though, were luckily intact!) and we were then escorted with a first aider to the clients office!

With plasters on knees and Savalon on knuckles we conduct the meeting. At the end I asked, as any good sales person knows, for the business. At which the client smiled and said he would have no hesitation in using us, not only because he felt sorry for my embarrassment, he was impressed in what we could offer!

It just goes to show, there are times when if you slip up (or down) it may work in your favour and help your business. This is now known in the Red Berry office as the “arse over tit” close!
