 ‘Our company is fairly new to the world of Social Media, Do you have any hints and tips?’

1)   Invest time to research the social media space before you start to engage.

2)   Understanding what you are doing up front will reduce any risk to  your reputation. Training is vital!

3)   Develop a plan and strategy of when you are going to post and what content you will be using for each site.

4)   Research when your audience are online, engage and post at your peak times.

5)   Connect with local businesses and engage with them by using the correct terminology and #HASHTAGS

6)   Promoted and Boosted Posts. Have a  post you want to ‘get out there’? Paid advertising is a great way to do this by targeting certain areas, ages and interests = Great Results!

7)   Busy day ahead of you? Simple, schedule your tweets/posts by using Hoot Suite or Tweet deck.

8)   Remember to include your social media identity and contact details on all forms of communication with clients and candidates.
